Pacific Marine Circle Route (via Lake Cowichan) | 4.5 hours round-trip from Victoria

The new Pacific Marine Circle Route links the West Coast Road to the East Coast of Vancouver Island. From Port Renfrew, the route climbs eastward to Cowichan Lake and into the Cowichan Valley, a renowned foodie destination known for its farm-to-table scene, wineries and local provisioners (think specialty cheeses, fresh-milled flour and sweet spot prawns). It continues down the Trans-Canada (Highway 1) through Duncan to Victoria. If you have time, go full circle.
